ABOUT THE COMMITEE

Chair: Dr. Joan Sweet (Toronto, ON)
Purpose: Continuing medical education (CME), also known as continuing professional development (CPD) is an important part of a pathologist's career-long learning. The CAP-ACP is a fully accredited provider of CME/CPD under the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. This Committee is responsible for the planning and administration of the Continuing Education activities of the CAP-ACP, consisting of:

Annual Meeting Workshop Program - A number of half-day workshops are held at the start of every CAP-ACP Annual Meeting, addressing a variety of topics of interest to the general membership. This is the primary focus of the Committee.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities in Laboratory Medicine - Coordinated by the Committee in conjunction with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada CME Accreditation Program.
